Father Heft Celebrates 50^th Anniversary of First Vows

On August 22, 2012, Fr. Heft celebrated 50 years of First Vows in the Society of Mary (Marianist Order). On the weekend of August 10–12, he celebrated with other family and friends, in Dayton, Ohio.

He was joined by his sisters, Marilyn Martinez, Donna Walker, Mary Kay Miller, and his brother, William Heft. Also attending were U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican, the Honorable Miguel Diaz, and his wife, Dr Marian Diaz.

Board member, Maureen Shea, and her husband Tom were also present and organized a celebratory dinner for Fr. Heft with members of his family and former students and their spouses. The Sheas have a special talent for organizing such special events. The Institute and its board congratulate Fr. Heft on this special achievement.
